One of the most important issues, is filing the annual income tax return. You must report the year of entry or departure by means of a so-called migration form (M-form). Please note; You are required to file the form if the form is issued to you. If it is not issued, you are required to apply for it, when you have income (except for wage income that has already been wage tax withheld) or if you have assets, then global equity needs to be declared. Special rules may apply if you own a 30% ruling.

Often, declaring an M-ticket is lucrative because too much wage tax is withheld.
